Want to do even more??? . . .
By writing emails and letters to your Government representatives you can help bring this issue to the forefront and show that you care about protecting this area by expanding the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy right to the shore of Kootenay Lake.
You can fill in the email form below and send it off to your representatives. It will help if you choose a template that best represents your concerns. Whether you are concerned about the environment, or you enjoy hiking and camping, or you are concerned about slope stability in the wake of the Johnsons Landing disaster and want to ensure it never happens again.
Our MLA Michelle Mungall, Minster of Environment Hon. George Heyman, and Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Hon. Doug Donaldson are the government officials with the most jurisdiction on this issue, but it is helpful to keep the campaign present with other representatives as well.
Feel free to edit the email to add your own words. This gives it a personal touch and lets the recipients know that there are many differing points of view. If you have time, we encourage you to also send your letter via postal service for greatest impact
